Thanks for visiting!

At "My Dog – Sussex" I can offer qualified, tailor made basic dog obedience training and behaviour modification programmes using positive reinforcement and reward-based training methods that are fun and rewarding for both the dog and their owner.

Dog and Puppy Training on a One to One basis in your own home enables an accurate and detailed appraisal to be made of the specific needs of both your dog and you through discussion, observation and practical assessment.  In this way, we can work together to achieve your training goals, eliminate unwanted behaviour and promote a happy and rewarding relationship between you and your dog.  Essentially, the better the bond between you and your dog, the happier you both will be!

Dog and Puppy Training classes and Socialisation (pups only) are a fun and rewarding way to teach your dog new skills and appropriate companion dog behaviour in a sociable atmosphere.

If your dog is displaying unwanted or inappropriate behaviour then my Dog Behaviour Counselling assessment is what you'll need initially in order to find the best way forward for you both.

SCENTWORK UK is a fun, scent detection course you can work on with your dog. It's great for ANY dog, ANY age and great for ANY owner too!!  I offer 3 hour 'Taster' mornings and on-going progressive Scentwork courses.  Click on the page above for details and dates.

I am also able to provide CAT behaviour counselling and have even worked with house pigs!

I can also advise and provide information in relation to the revolutionary Breakthrough diet.

Qualified in companion animal behaviour, psychology and training (AdvDipCABT) I use and continually review the principles of modern animal learning theory.  It has been scientifically proven again and again that the degree and quality of learning achieved by positive reward-based training exceeds that of other methods – after all, we all work better for reward than punishment!

Each training approach is tailored to suit the style of learning that is most appropriate for your dog and will always be reward-based and incorporating plenty of praise.  I also offer optional "Clicker" training for those who are interested to learn the skills required for this fascinating learning tool.

With my experience as a former RSPCA Inspector, I have maintained a particular interest in helping new owners of Rescue dogs with training and rehabilitation.

In association with the RSPCA Patcham kennels, in Brighton, I offer one to one, tailor made training for rescue dogs
